ENPAQ Enterprise Manager Quick Install Guide

Installing the ENPAQ Enterprise Manager is a breeze! All it takes is the Elina software CD-ROM and a standard desktop/server and you are all set, in less than 15 minutes of installation and configuration. The Elina software CD comes with labels for all the ports and cables, so that post-installation configuration and physical connections are much easier.

The ENPAQ comes with its documentation and support software on the CD. Once installed, you can access the user interface guide and the support software from the ENPAQ user interface.

Initial setup

  • Install the CD-ROM drive in the PC/Server
  • Hook up the monitor and keyboard to the PC/Server
  • Power on the system, taking necessary precautions against electrical shock
  • Enter BIOS setup and do the following actions:
    • Make sure that the system date and time is correct
    • Select 1st boot device as CD-ROM
    • Change power settings to "Power-ON after power failure"
    • Disable "Halt on errors" (required for booting without keyboard/monitor)
    • If there are multiple disks installed, set the boot priority of the disks
    • Save BIOS settings and reboot
  • Insert the ENPAQ bootable CD into the CD-ROM drive

 

At the initial screen, press Enter to start installation. Note that the installer will format your hard disk. You can type "memtest" to perform a memory test of the PC/server.

The screens below will walk you through the installation steps. Once the installation is complete, you can log into the system using the connected keyboard and monitor, or through the LAN interface. The default LAN IP address is 192.168.10.1/24. The console username and password are ui and ui. Use this to login through the connected keyboard and mouse.
