Shekar is Chief Executive Officer of Elina Networks. Shekar brings over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.
Most recently, Shekar was part of the Asia-Pacific Sales leadership team at NetApp and was responsible for its OEM business. Prior to this Shekar was the General
Manager of NetApp India Operations. Shekar co-founded Allegro Networks in California, USA and was responsible for product operations. Shekar was part of the inception team at Xylan and was instrumental in its successful IPO in 1996. Shekar started and ran Xylan's operation in India and later worked at Alcatel as Managing Director of the India operations through its acquisition of Xylan.Previously, Shekar held various individual, team lead and management roles in software development. Shekar has also been an Enterpeneur in Residence at Thomas Weisel Venture partners.
Shekar has 2 USA patents in data communications and networking and holds a bachelor of science degree in Computer Engineering from NIT Trichy, India and masters in Computer Science from California State University Northridge, USA.
Vivek Shenoy, Chief Technology Officer
Vivek co-founded Elina Networks and is responsible for driving technology direction for Elina.
Vivek most recently consulted to Reliance Infocomm on network and devices architectures Before that, Vivek was the chief architect for Tejas Network's entire SONET/SDH line of products where he drove product specifications, architecture and implementation strategies. He designed complex SDH and ATM chip verification environment tools for Synopsys during his tenure at France and Bangalore. Vivek started his career at India's best telecom R&D facility, C-DoT and designed timing synchronization products for telecom networks.
Vivek holds Bachelors' degree in electronics anda Master's degree in opto-electronics from IIT Delhi.
Srinivasa Hebbar, Vice President - Engineering
Srinivasa co-founded Elina and is responsible for building and managing high-caliber engineering team.
Most recently, he was at Tejas Networks driving the kernel and OS group and responsible for STM-16 cross-connect platform. Prior to that, he was at Ciena Systemsworking on various systems handling data communication and networking components. Srinivasa holds several patents in the area of networking and management of telecom systems.
He holds a Bachelors' degree in computer science from University of Mysore.
